Context
Self-sovereign identity protocols still assume a live network at verification time. That fails in the environments where identity checks actually happen. This is an undergraduate thesis, not a journal publication.
Research
I proposed a novel framework for enabling offline verification of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) credentials under the supervision of Dr. Md. Sadek Ferdous.
System design and implementation
I designed and developed a proof-of-concept implementation using React Native, Hyperledger Aries, Bluetooth Low Energy, and ESP32-based IoT devices to validate the feasibility of the proposed framework.
Evaluation
I conducted an extensive literature review, analyzed existing SSI protocols and their limitations in offline environments, and evaluated the proposed approach against existing solutions.
Outcome
I successfully defended the thesis with the highest distinction (GPA 4.00/4.00).
